More on my personal bizz

So I guess I'll continue my story from my last post, which was about my diagnosis of type 1 diabetes.

It took me a while to get used to all of the baggage that came along with my new diagnosis. I became a pro at counting carbs and remembering to always carry my insulin with me. After a few months of changing the dosage of insulin i was taking, we were finally able to lower my blood sugar levels! By this point my family and all of my closest friends were done feeling sorry for me and were eager to learn how to help me with my diet and how to give me a shot (which nobody has ever actually done to me, thank goodness!). Everyone was very supportive and I felt overly blessed to have such loving people in my life, especially during a hectic time like that.

So now, 2 years later, everything is under control and what used to seem very very annoying and time consuming is now just part of my routine. Of course there's days when I ask "why me?" and get mad when I can't eat a bag of skittles or a piece of cake (without shooting up beforehand)... BUT I'm just so very thankful that I found out when I did and that it didn't stay hidden any longer than it already had!

Okay, now I'm done talking about my problems. Hope y'all enjoyed my diabeetus story :)
